Fuel Spill Remediation Services

Environmental remediation services refer to the process of reversing whatever environmental damage that may have occurred as a result of a fuel spill, oil spill, or any other petroleum-based spill. For example, if upon inspection of a spill site it is determined that an unacceptable risk from contaminants exists after a spill has been contained, further remediation may be required. Reversing the environmental damage or removing the pollution and contaminants from the spill site’s soil, surface water, and sediment are the focus of our remediation plans. When making the determination for how your remediation project will work, we will need to learn more about the extent of the impact in all three of the parts of your property. Our innovative technology solutions include excavation, bioremediation, soil vapor extraction, soil encapsulation, hazardous waste removal, and more. Contact us for a free on-site consultation prior to needing our services.

    Site Cleanup Strategies

    Proactive Approach To Spill Remediation

At North Texas Spill Response, we work with organizations and business owners to develop a spill response and cleanup strategy prior to the occurrence of a hazardous material release. When determining how to clean your site, should a spill occur, we look at potential pitfalls where environmental damage can happen. For example, if your facilities are located next to a river or a tributary that leads to a river, we may suggest creating preventive measures such as building berms so that no hazardous materials make it into the waterway. We can even take a look at your operation and help you to determine how to strategically locate whatever petroleum-based products you keep on hand. If your operation has forklifts, scissor lifts, or any other warehouse-type equipment that can potentially rupture your stored petroleum-based products, we may suggest that you build walls or other concrete structures to prevent an accidental collision. There are many things that can be done to avoid or minimize any release of your hazardous material so that it does not contaminate the environment. Of course, cleaning up the spill is another matter, but having a good proactive plan in place prior to a spill is a must for any organization that wants to stay compliant with all regulatory guidelines.

There is USDOT research that suggests that there is an average of six to seven tanker truck rollovers happening every day across the United States. Quick response is vital to ensure that the spill is not only contained and cleaned up but to avoid any additional unnecessary damage to the surrounding environment.

    Spills In Water

When an oil or fuel spill finds its way into surface water it’s of utmost importance to have it removed before it can get into groundwater. To remove petroleum-based products from surface water, we use a product called ELIMN8. This treats the hydrocarbon contamination and removes it through an immediate oxidation process.

    Remediating Contaminated Soil

Contaminated soil can be remediated by either removing the soil from the site and disposing of it in a landfill, or by conducting ex situ (above ground) treatment. And, in some cases, contaminated soil can be treated without excavation, this is referred to as in situ cleanups. Call on NTSR for all your oil spill and fuel spill needs.

    Emergency Spill Response

Why Call NTSR For Petroleum-Based Spills?

If you are the owner or manager of a business that uses or stores petroleum-based products on your property, you are responsible for preparing for the occurrence of a spill. It has been our experience that most people who are unfamiliar with oil spill cleanup and remediation have no idea what to do when a spill happens. This unfamiliarity can cause many to trust in folks who are only slightly more educated on the subject and therefore could lead to negative outcomes for all parties. At North Texas Spill Response, we have worked with local and state law enforcement, as well as regulatory bodies since the early 2000s, and understand the importance of expediency when it comes to responding to hazardous material spills. Our technicians are all highly trained, with HAZWOPER certifications, and we are members of the HAZMAT Responder Network. Through regular training and through our association with these professionals, we maintain and upgrade our knowledge in the environmental services industry.

We suggest that you give us a call prior to the occurrence of a spill, our free on-site consultation will give us a better understanding of your needs and can help to reduce some of the risks you may be unwittingly taking. But, regardless of if we’ve spoken before, you can contact our team for a quick response and immediate action to mitigate your loss when it comes to incidents involving hazardous materials releases.
